    Biologist - Sacramento Area, California

    Job Opening: Biologist
The Citrus Heights office of Madrone Ecological Consulting, LLC (Madrone) has an opening for a biologist. The ideal candidate will have a BS degree in biological sciences or similar with desired coursework in botany, geographic information systems, and scientific writing. We will consider candidates from an entry level or intern level through a senior biologist. We are interested in finding an eager, dedicated, hard-working biologist who is interested in joining our close-knit and dynamic team, and growing with Madrone into the future. The person filling this position will assist our biological resources team in conducting a variety of field surveys and assessments, preparing biological reports, and drafting regulatory permit applications. Strong communication, writing, organizational, and time management skills a must. Field-related tasks typically include aquatic resources delineation (“wetland delineations”), special-status species surveys (including nesting bird and raptor surveys, vernal pool branchiopod surveys, plant surveys, etc.), as well as construction compliance monitoring and associated coordination with clients, engineers, and contractors. Experience with these field surveys would be ideal, though Madrone will provide training as necessary for the appropriate candidates. Valid driver’s license and good driving record required.

    How to Apply
Please submit a resume and brief introduction/interest statement to [email protected]. Position will be open until filled.
