The California Department of Fish and Wildlife’s Native Plant Program is seeking a Senior Environmental Scientist (Supervisory). The job posting is located at and the final filing date is 8/23/21. The incumbent will supervise and direct the work of staff engaged in the conservation, recovery planning and management activities for rare, threatened, and endangered native plants and will be responsible for staff development, performance evaluation, program budgeting, and work force planning. The incumbent will provide guidance and oversight for staff gathering and analyzing biological and environmental resource information, engaging in interagency recovery planning, and evaluating petitions to list native plants pursuant to the California Endangered Species Act.
